This form is for existing ContractorsInsured clients who need a certificate of insurance for a job, owner, or vendor onboarding packet. Send the certificate holder, job, limits, and any endorsement requests, and we turn complete requests around fast, often same day. New to us? We quote General Liability the same business day and issue the COI right after binding, start with Get a Quote.
Existing clients: use this form
Use this COI request when you need:
- A COI for a GC, owner, property manager, or vendor onboarding packet.
- The COI emailed to multiple recipients.
- Common endorsements referenced on the certificate, when applicable and approved by the carrier.
No policy yet? We quote General Liability the same business day and bind fast, then issue your COI, in many cases in time for the same deadline that sent you here. Start a fast GL quote or call (949) 522-3284 and say you have a bid deadline.
Turnaround expectations
- COIs are fastest when the certificate holder name and address, job address, limits, and send-to emails are complete.
- Endorsements (AI, PNC, WOS) may require carrier review and approval. Some requests take longer based on the wording and your policy form.
- If you have a hard deadline, include it in the form so we can prioritize routing.
Quick definitions (so you request the right thing)
- COI (Certificate of Insurance): proof of active coverage (usually your General Liability policy) and limits. It does not automatically change your policy.
- Additional Insured (AI): typically granted by endorsement when required.
- Primary and Noncontributory (PNC): often required so the other party's coverage does not respond first.
- Waiver of Subrogation (WOS): often required to reduce recovery actions against certain parties.
Common mistakes that delay COIs
- Missing certificate holder address.
- Job address omitted or incorrect.
- Limits not stated, or the packet requires specific limits.
- Endorsement requested in email but not selected on the form.
- Recipient email list incomplete.
- Requirements sent as screenshots that cut off the key wording.
